Paris, the most splendid
city in the world
Photos
under the text.
Size of this page is quite
large because of photos. If you have never been to Paris, this page may give you the first
impression of this metropole.
Paris is viewed by many as the most
splendid and attractive city in Europe, if not the world. No matter if you come for
business or pleasure, your visit to Paris will leave you with deep impressions, from the
fashions of the Champs-Elysees to the arts of the Louvre; from the rich history of the
Notre Dame cathedral to the modern design of the Centre Georges-Pompidou; from the
exciting thrill of Disneyland Paris to the relaxed air of a small cafe -- Paris truly has
something to offer everyone.
We often hear our guests remark on the beauty, excitement, and romance of Paris. Guests of
the
Milton hotel Paris
quickly see how hospitable and amicable Parisians can
be. We look forward to showing you the same.
Paris, a
Photographer's Dream
During film days, film sold in Paris is probably more
expensive than
anywhere else in the world, you will want to bring a good supply. Few tourists
actually arrive with enough film to capture the many exquisite scenes they find in Paris.
All the photos appearing here were taken by the author, who is more of an enthusiast than
expert photographer. Below each picture you will find a short description of the
scene and nearest Metro station. We hope the information on this page will help you
when visiting Paris.
Museum Photography
(While you are allowed to take photos in
museums, you may not use a flash or tripod, or even monopod. --- this sentence was written years ago, now, in some meseums, it is not allowed to take photos any more. There are some exception, for example, no problem for photo of scultures.) Failure to follow
these rules is sure to get the quick attention of museum guards. Few people realize
that a single camera flash can age a museum piece the same as three days of normal
lighting. If your picture includes both people and background, you will likely find
that the best balance can be achieved without a flash, anyway, as shown in some of the
pictures below. You will, however, want to use a high-speed like ISO800, or even higher.
We are going to upload some more pages to completement this page, they will be soon online:
